Challenge
Home of Production designs studio and production facilities around the people who actually work on set. Launching that proposition meant convincing two audiences with very different concerns at the same time: international producers deciding where to base productions, and the local community living next to a major development.
What reassures one can unsettle the other, and planning consent depended on getting both right.
Approach
Working alongside creative partners Corke Wallis, who developed the brand identity, we defined the tone of voice and communication strategy and built the material to carry it. That included a website, a dedicated planning microsite, landing pages, digital brochures, press materials, news articles and social content - Each pitched to the audience it needed to reach, without either version contradicting the other. The HOP brand launched publicly in late 2022.
Outcome
Planning permission was secured, clearing the way for one of the most significant new studio developments in the UK in decades - 1.6 million square feet of film and television production space. On the commercial side, the same customer-centric proposition opened conversations with five major studios about residencies at the site.
A development of this scale succeeds or fails on whether people believe in it before it exists, and the collateral is what carried that belief.
